Do you have questions about the fitting appointment, the purchase or the process of selling your wedding dress? Then you've come to the right place.
How does it work with the adjustments/changes to the dress?
We have our own tailor shop, which we highly recommend for the final fitting of your dress. However, it is of course up to you to decide where you have the adjustments made. In the vast majority of cases, the standard adjustments are necessary: fitting cups and shortening the dress to your body length so that your dress fits perfectly on your day and you can move around carefree. For all spontaneous brides, our tailor shop always has capacity at short notice.
How can I book an appointment?
The easiest way is to choose an appointment via our online calendar and book it yourself.
If you do not see the calendar, please allow the use of cookies. Unfortunately, no online appointment can be created without the use of cookies.
If you have any further problems creating an appointment or have a question because your desired appointment is already fully booked, please contact us by email, Instagram or WhatsApp.
How many people can accompany me to my fitting?
Quality instead of quantity: We recommend that you come to us with a maximum of 3 accompanying persons. One reason for this is that we only have a very small store. However, it is much more important for me to mention that too many opinions are often difficult for the bride to process.
If there is too much background noise and too many different opinions and tastes, you as the bride are automatically much less focused and easily confused. Of course, you know the people you want to bring along best and can decide whether they will help you choose your dress. A maximum of 3 people is our recommendation - but up to 5 people including you would be possible in our store.
When booking your appointment for your wedding dress fitting, you can simply indicate how many people will be accompanying you.
Of course, it's also totally fine to come to the fitting alone without an escort. We are still here and will be happy to give you our opinion if you wish.
Can I prepare something for my wedding dress fitting?
It is an advantage if you look through our range again before your fitting to get a rough overview.
Please refrain from wearing make-up and lipstick on the day of your fitting, wear skin-colored underwear if possible and bring your bridal shoes with you if you already have them.
How likely is it that my wedding dress will be sold?
We only take on dresses that we ourselves find beautiful and - with all our experience - can sell on with a clear conscience and as quickly as possible.
Sometimes it only takes a few days for a dress to be sold, sometimes only on the last day of the contract period - but of course a few dresses cannot be sold in the end. We have these dresses cleaned again, check them for faults and then send them back to the owner at Wandelgewands' expense.
How does the shipping of my wedding dress work?
After you have registered your dress online with us, we will check whether we can include your dress in our range. If so, we will send you a draft of your personalized commission agreement by email.
If you would like to send your dress to us, you will receive the most important "shipping information" from us by email before shipping - we will explain to you the best and safest way to send your dress.
What is a commission contract and what does it mean for my sale?
We do not buy your dress, but sell it on your behalf in our store. To do this, we sign a commission agreement for a period of 9 months. Depending on the characteristics, size and condition of your dress, we offer it in our store for 50-60% of the original price.
If the dress is unworn, we will offer it for 60%-70% of the original price.
The exact selling price will be recorded by us as the main component of the agreement. If your dress sells successfully, we will retain 40% of the agreed purchase price as a service fee. We will transfer 60% of the amount to your bank account.
We need the margin in the price to be able to achieve a successful sale - but the maximum price is of course always our goal!
If you decide to sell your dress through us, you can submit it online via our website. We will take a look at all the details and usually get back to you within 3 working days.
Will you take my dress in even if it hasn't been cleaned yet?
If your dress has not yet been cleaned, we can do it for you. Our cooperation partner has many years of experience in cleaning wedding dresses and we have only had good experiences with her. We offer the cleaning of your wedding dress at a very fair price of only €90.00.
It is important that you always have your dress cleaned as soon as possible after wearing it. If sweat or oily stains are left on the fabric for several years, it may be impossible to remove them.
My dress has a small hole or tear - what can I do?
In principle, we only accept flawless and cleaned garmentsfor sale in our store. However, there are exceptions to every rule.
In the case of tears, holes and runs, it depends on where the fault occurs. For example, a hole in the silk or in the tulle on the chest is almost impossible to fix and therefore very difficult to sell - but if the same hole is at the bottom of the hem, a smaller buyer can simply "cut it away".
In general, if you send us your dress with the faults you know about, we will decide on the basis of the photos whether it is too badly damaged or whether we will accept it for closer inspection in the store. If your dress is hanging on our mannequin for closer inspection, we will take a really close look at it and document every little flaw. This serves as documentation as security for you and for us.
If your dress has passed the incoming goods inspection at our store, we will add it to our range under the conditions set out in our commission agreement.
How can I submit my dress using the form?
As a rule, there are no problems with the image upload in the form if you call it up via your cell phone, press "Browse files" in the upload area and now select the appropriate images from your photo library on your mobile device.
The permitted file formats are the common image files JPG and JPEG.
It is important that you actually send the form to us at the end using the "Send" button at the bottom. We will then check your dress and usually get back to you within 5 working days.
